DALLAS -
The annual Toys for Tots program is under way this year and FOX 4 is again a proud partner in the initiative.
Donation boxes set up by the Marine Corps Reserve will be in stores such as Toys R Us and others across North Texas.
Last year, 113,000 area children received toys, thanks to the program, and organizers hope to top that number in 2012.
"Families that have birthday parties … instead of taking toys, add that collection to the Toys for Tots campaign. Those are the kind of things we're looking for from the community, and every year the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex really comes through to help us out," Maj. David Loveday said.
Marines, sponsors and volunteers recently got together at a special dinner to set goals for this holiday season.
